HERITAGE KIDS' MINISTRY EXISTS TO HELP CHILDREN KNOW CHRIST, GROW IN HIS WORD, AND SUPPORT PARENTS IN DISCIPLING THEIR CHILDREN.​

"5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."(Deut. 6:5-7) 

BABIES and ToddlerS

At Heritage Baptist Church, we want parents to feel comfortable knowing their little ones are in good hands! Our spacious nursery provides a safe, welcoming environment where infants and toddlers are lovingly cared for by our nursery workers. Childcare is provided during all church services and events, so you can participate with peace of mind while your children receive the care and attention they need.​

what you can expect of us

  • Loving, Attentive Care: Our nursery workers will strive to care for your child with kindness, patience, and individual attention.

  • A Safe Environment: We work to maintain a clean, secure, and welcoming space for infants and toddlers.

  • Childcare During Services and Events: Childcare is provided during all church services and events so you can participate with peace of mind.

  • Communication: We will contact you if your child needs additional attention or if a concern arises during their time in the nursery.

  • Respect for Your Child's Needs: We welcome information about your child's routines, allergies, and special care needs so we can provide the best care possible.

what we ask of you

  • Keep Sick Children Home: Please refrain from bringing your child to the nursery if they are showing signs of illness, helping protect other children and our nursery workers.

  • Provide Necessary Supplies: Please bring any items your child may need, such as bottles or a change of clothes. Labeling belongings is helpful!

  • Communicate Special Needs: Let our nursery workers know about any allergies, feeding schedules, or other important care instructions.

  • Share Relevant Information: Please let us know if there is anything that would help your child feel more comfortable or allow us to care for them more effectively.

  • Work with Our Nursery Team: If we contact you because your child needs additional attention, we ask that you respond promptly so we can best care for your little one.

At Heritage Baptist Church, we love helping kids discover the truth of God's Word and learn how it applies to their lives! Children ages three through sixth grade can participate in our graded Sunday School classes, where experienced teachers make learning Scripture meaningful and engaging. During our Kids' Worship Hour, children enjoy interactive songs, object lessons, and Bible teaching that encourages them to grow in their understanding of God.

There's always something exciting happening throughout the year! Our Wednesday evening programs include WiseGuys during the school year and Power Hour during the summer, along with other special activities and opportunities for fun and fellowship. We look forward to welcoming your children and helping them build a strong foundation in God's Word!

wiseguys

WiseGuys is our Wednesday evening Scripture memorization program designed to help children hide God's Word in their hearts and build a strong foundation for a lifetime of faith. Created by Bettye Ledbetter, wife of Heritage Baptist Church's founding pastor. WiseGuys has encouraged children to learn Scripture, grow in their knowledge of God, and develop a deeper appreciation for His Word. Throughout the school year, children memorize Bible verses, learn meaningful songs, and discover how God's truth applies to their everyday lives—all while enjoying the encouragement and fellowship of learning together!

 

WiseGuys materials are available for purchase and include six years' worth of Scripture memory verses and songs, providing families with a wealth of resources to help children continue growing in God's Word year after year.

powerhour

Power Hour is our exciting summer program designed to help children grow in their knowledge of God's Word while enjoying a summer full of fun, fellowship, and learning! Similar to Vacation Bible School, Power Hour spreads the excitement throughout the summer, giving kids opportunities to explore Bible truths, participate in engaging activities, sing songs, and build friendships along the way. Our desire is to make the summer months both fun and meaningful as children learn more about God and discover how His Word applies to their lives. It's a great way to keep kids connected, growing, and excited about learning Scripture all summer long!

KIDS CHOIR

Our Kids Choir gives children the opportunity to develop their musical abilities while learning the joy of praising the Lord through song! Meeting weekly, the children practice singing together, learn songs that glorify God, and prepare special music for holidays and other occasions throughout the year. Whether they're singing for a special service or simply learning a new song, our goal is to help children grow in their love for the Lord and discover the joy of using their voices to worship Him.

kids camp

Each summer, our kids (completed 3rd-6th grade) have the exciting opportunity to attend Kids Camp at Camp Minnetonka in Clayton, Oklahoma! Held in mid-July, camp is a special time for children to grow in their understanding of God's Word, build lasting friendships, enjoy outdoor activities, and make memories together. Through Bible lessons, worship, games, and fellowship, kids are encouraged to strengthen their faith and grow closer to the Lord in a fun and engaging environment. It's a wonderful week of spiritual growth, adventure, and summertime fun!
